I would be a great choice for Telugu Society First Year Representative because I’m passionate about fostering connections and creating a welcoming space for all first-year students. I understand the challenges of starting university and want to make our society an inclusive, supportive place. Being a proud Telugu person and having approachable nature, I’m ready to represent first-year interests, help plan engaging fun events, and build a strong community. I’m excited to bring my energy and ideas to make our society fun and exciting for whoever wants to be apart of our family.
After growing up with dosa as breakfast every day, binge-watching Mahesh Babu movies and my first love being Hyderabadi dum biryani, I feel as though I've got a good impression of what being Telugu feels like. I've always been interested in the thought of being part of Telugu events with our community, so the first thing I searched up about UCL when I was applying was what was going on in with its Telugu society. Hearing that our TelSoc was quite new might have discouraged some, but I see it as a great opportunity or us to grow while also maintaining that strong sense of a community which I felt when attending our meet and greet this year. As an FYR, I believe I can add the jokes and vibes to what already will be a lively committee in addition to being reliable and creative when it comes to new ideas and events that we could come up with for everyone to enjoy. Acting as a bridge between students and the committee is crucial in order for us to enjoy the TelSoc experience and have fun, and that's something that I will always keep as top priority. The UCL Telugu community is much bigger than most people think, so there's a lot of potential and I would see it as a privilege to help strengthen the foundations that our president and vice-president have already put up. The atmosphere at Telugu Society is unmatched, and I'll make sure that's something you can always look forward to. Also Amma and Naana would be happy if I get selected so that would be nice. Jai Balayya!
