Job Title: After School Club Coding/STEM Teacher (Contractor)
Reports to: Schools Director
Location: Various locations across London
Hours of work: Monday-Friday.
About the role: Cypher inspire children to learn the language of the future through creative and fun coding lessons. We take students between the ages of 4-14, through our STEM.org certified computing curriculum and prepare them for the digital future, teaching them core coding principles and how to apply these to real world settings.
Job Purpose: To deliver high-quality extra-curricular coding clubs to children aged 4-14 years across the Greater London area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend regular training sessions to ensure best practice
- To safeguard the children in your care
- Adequately prepare ahead of lessons, including ensuring familiarity with lesson content and loading any starter files to children’s accounts
- To represent the Cypher Coders brand in a positive and professional manner

Qualifications/ Professional | | Educated or working to university level or equivalent |
Experience | - Working with children as a teacher, teaching assistant, tutor, camp or club leader
- Coding knowledge
| - Experience working with children with special educational needs or disability
- Experience working with Scratch, P5.js, Scratch Jr, Python, Micro:bit and robotics

Skills/knowledge | - Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Demonstrate professionalism in a school setting
- Ability to follow a lesson plan
