At the end of November, UCL Men's Football Club suffered a devastating loss with a member of the club sadly taking his own life. His passing bought home the reality of how important the issue of mental health is, which is why the club is making it their absolute priority to tackle this growing problem and honour his passing in the best way they can.
Teaming up with UCL Men's Hockey Club, they've already raised £600 for local mental health charity Centre for Mental Health after their packed-out pub quiz night last night.
They're holding an awareness-raising event tomorrow. This will be an evening of speakers from sports clubs, UCL students and the centre for mental health to present and discuss the issues, stigmas and hardships associated with the silent crises that is mental health at university.
This is a free event, but spaces are limited.
