Three Minute Thesis ®(3MT) challenges doctoral candidates to present a compelling spoken presentation on their research topic and its significance in just three minutes, in language appropriate to non-specialists. Three Minute Thesis was first established at the University of Queensland in 2008 and has rapidly spread all over the world. Dozens of institutions in the UK already run university-wide competitions, and there is now an established national final in September each year.
The UCL final took place in June and we’re pleased to announce the panel chose Dr Elizabeth Forsythe as the 2018 winner.
Dr Elizabeth Forsythe, an MRC Clinical Research Fellow (Clinical Genetics), on the Genetics and Genomic Medicine Programme, at UCL’s Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, presented her talk ‘The Secret to a Bigger, Better Brain’.
