Hi guys, I’m Divy!

I’m running for General Sec. as I know I can contribute much to the society’s efficient running, through helping and assisting other committee members be as productive as possible. I know running a society requires much work and would like to help as much as possible. The more we can do for the members, the happier they’ll be!

The busiest periods for committee members are exam seasons and times of competitions/performances, so at this time I’d love to alleviate some pressure and tension from the shoulders of my fellow committee members.

A few of the practical things/activities I would love to help with: circulating information via emails and social media, creating an anonymous reporting form and advertising it, help with collaboration with other societies such as Yoga and Meditation society and finally, for those thinking about performing at shows and competitions such as The Bhangra Showdown, around these times it is important to remember that taking care of your body is equally as important as taking care of your mind and so around this times I could send a mini-guide to performers of how to keep yourself healthy, including: general reminders to drink enough water, have down-time to relax and more.

I am confident that I can be a valuable member of the society and the committee. So, I hope you vote for me to be your General Secretary and let me show you what I can do for you. A happy society is a successful one with happy members!
