Sunny Qian

Hello! I'm Sunny, an Economics student, running to be the Treasurer at EFS for next year.

As the current treasurer at UCL Hedge Fund Society, and an incoming spring intern at JPMorgan, RBC Capital Markets, KPMG and Maven Securities, I believe I am well equipped with the necessary skills to thrive in this job. My experience include shadowing the President, taking care of all financial matters in the society, providing ideas of ways to restructure and improve agendas of the society as well as working with other committee members for a better outlook of the society.

This year, to strengthen the society's finances, my main agenda will be as follows:

• Consolidation: Promoting spending through a centralised approach, and seeking for additional funding through organising more sponsored events.
• Connection: Building relationships with external stakeholders, such as potential corporate sponsors, in order to maximise the society’s financial resources.
• Inclusion: Increasing efficiency within the society and smoothing the budget approval system by allowing departments to work closer to each other, enhancing long term growth and generating positive returns.
• Communication: Introducing policies to allocate funds, lowering costs, and maximising our abilities to pursue new objectives.

By voting for me, I will use my diverse experience, along with my academic motivations, to bring positive impacts to EFS and maintaining our strong position as a careers society here at UCL!
