Election post
As a History, Politics, and Economics student at the School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies, I find myself quite immersed in the legal career pathway. In 2019, I undertook an internship with RHT Law Asia, where I worked alongside an associate lawyer assisting her in performing research and writing memoranda, managing case files, filing, copying, and attending trials hearings.
Whilst applying to first-year insight schemes, I came to notice that no firms offered insight schemes to first-year non-law students. This made me realize how difficult it was for non-law degree backgrounds to build a portfolio and drove me closer to the Law for All Society. Law for All Society's commitment to cater to students of all backgrounds, races, and genders appealed to me, which eventually led me to develop a greater interest in society's affairs.
As a Marketing officer for Law for All, I would like to promote this society at a higher level and market this in different departments of UCL. I want to engage in devising new marketing campaigns, organising a calender of marketing events. As a person, ethical leadership stands out to me and is my most valued guiding principle. I want to stand up for others, for ideas that promote equal opportunity to all and I believe I can do that as a marketing officer at Law for All - By promoting marketing opportunities in the legal sector available to students of all backgrounds.
