When I joined lax, mixed was a great way to get to know people and I’m keen to keep it fun and inclusive to help integrate the freshers. Through my role as mixed 2s I have learnt how to organise a team and have mostly figured out the BUCS app. In my role as captain I will continue to work to ensure a friendly and competitive environment; and plenty of ginning. I will try to recruit more freshers so we can actually field two teams. I am fiercely competitive, will check anyone given the chance and even jump in goal when necessary. My main aim for mixed is to secure some proper kit, to save the weekly panic in lockup. This year I have attended all matches, and I am dedicated to sacrificing my Sundays. I love lax, especially mixed, bleed purple through and through and I would be proud to be your Mixed 1s captain this coming year.
