Aashna Keswani

Hi, my name is Aashna and I'm a first year Psychology student. I want to be your next General Secretary because it really seems like such a rewarding role. You are able to interact with so many different people which I love to do and I’m honestly very approachable so I would be more than happy to listen to and forward on any feedback to ensure we maintain the strong sense of community and friendship which so clearly exists within this society.

Events this year have been amazing and I was fortunate enough to see much of the organising process behind the scenes as an FYR including for Rangeela, which I know I would play a significant role in managing. Having volunteered at various mental health charities over the years and currently having a part time job whilst studying has taught me the importance of time management as well as communicating well within in a team. I feel confident staying on top of tasks for any event such as creating rehearsal schedules and managing room bookings, but I am also just prepared to help the rest of the committee in any way I can. My aim is to make sure that we succeed in organising just as amazing, if not, even better events next year!

This HSOC family is genuinely something I’m so grateful for so just know that I’m committed to making sure every member of this society feels the same amount of love and support I’ve felt this past year :)
