Dhvani A Porwal

Hey, I am Dhvani Porwal a Year A MSc SLS student who enjoys exploring cafes, travel, bake and dance. I am proactive and love socialising. I have been part of the Giving Voice committee as the Year A representative. The society brings individuals together, learn more, grow together and spread awareness about SLT. Being part of helping the organisation and planning of the different social media campaigns, socials, guest speaker lectures has been an extremely insightful experience. 

I have learnt a lot and would like to be part of the committee as the Vice President and help continue the good work the society has been doing. During my undergrad I have taken up leadership roles and been part of different society committees as Fundraising Officer and Vice President of Sheffield Marrow and Activities officer of Indian Society. As part of these roles I have planned and organised multiple events and campaigns including logistical and administrative tasks, executed training sessions, social media campaigning and marketing, fundraising to name a few.

I would like to continue working on planning different events, guest lectures and social media campaigns to raise and spread SLT related awareness, help everyone learn and share more, be more involved in the SLT community and also have opportunities to enjoy . If voted in I would do my best to continue the GV spirit, incorporate new ideas and help all members have a wonderful experience being part of Giving Voice.
