Lyuben S Yau

Hello, everyone! My love for food from all cuisines and cultures and my desire to share it is why I’d like to nominate myself. During my first year here restaurants were on lockdown and I didn’t get to experience London’s food spots as thoroughly as I would have liked, however that was corrected during this year. I want to extend my experiences with you! From Market Food Tours to unique food tasting experiences and much more! To further diversify all our taste palettes and enjoy food together. This is the reason why I would like to serve as Food Society’s president in next year’s Committee.

Wei Ting Chua

Hello! My name is Wei Ting and I'm a first-year Law student from Singapore, running for Food Society's President. I believe that food is what unites us all, which is incredibly important in such a diverse student body in UCL. My ultimate mission as President will be to encourage meaningful, long-lasting friendships, all made through a common love for food. My hobbies include exploring London's thriving food scene, sharing about London's thriving food scene, and most importantly, eating. To record the delicious food I enjoy, I've been running my food account @weitingforfood for a while now and would love any more recommendations for London's best food!

Since Food Society is just over a year old, I hope to increase awareness of FoodSoc through more frequent food tours and socials, and collaborations with other societies to encourage participation and engagement from the student body. Moreover, I aim to establish a warm, supportive community that celebrates cultural events together, from Chinese New Year and Chuseok to Deepavali and Hanukkah, through get-together or potluck events.
