Election post
Being a FinTech Research correspondent at the FTR bolstered my curiosity about its fast-paced environment. During my internship at ‘FinTech Circle’, I built a pipeline of sponsors/partners for their conference and learnt how to scout and contact CEOs and marketing heads. I gained knowledge on how to reach out to startups, finance/tech companies. My enthusiasm for fintech makes me eager to interact with businesses and leaders in the fintech world so society members can engage with this innovative sector. I plan to: host leaders in the fintech industry, offer many career/networking events, talks with companies and startups, reach out to companies with members’ CVs so they can take on internships and/or jobs. I aim to bridge the gap between students and experienced professionals. I will continue to connect the FinTech society with other societies like “women in finance”. I believe it is essential that students of all backgrounds gain access to an array of opportunities. I am excited at the prospect of continuing the society’s programmes collaborating with SWIT and CTRL. I will partner with schools so our society offers workshops to all students. Adopting an all-inclusive approach, I aim to offer women a salient position in the tech sector. I hope to continue offering members the knowledge, career advice and networking opportunities in finance and technology!
