As a first year English student, I found the events organised by the English Society to be welcoming, enjoyable, and a way to engage with the course in a different way. I love being around people and especially in fun and dynamic settings, especially being in London with its unlimited opportunities. I think that the English society has such a broad spectrum of possible activities and I would love to be a part of an emerging society that I have enjoyed being a part of this year. I think establishing a relaxed community for students to unwind and take a break from the often overwhelming nature of university life is crucial, so I often enjoyed the low key events organised by the society. I would love to help facilitate the friendly atmosphere that I felt this year moving forward into my second year.
