Election post
Drama and acting have always been a huge part of my life, but due to all sorts of reasons, I haven’t been able to be as active in the Drama Society this year as I would’ve liked. I am determined for this to change, and what better way to get hands-on involved than participating in and helping to run some workshops!
I believe I will bring a whole array of enthusiasm and experience into any role, and especially that of a Workshop and Events Manager. I am always keen to learn and share knowledge. I hope to fuel a collective passion for acting and create opportunities to work off each other to develop a round of theatrical skills. As for me, I have a variety of experience in theatre, performing in the styles of different practitioners (like Artaud and Berkoff), roles, and genres. I have also done work with the BFI, both for writing and acting in a short film, and I hope that this role will be a good opportunity to put my networking to good use and help put on some valuable experiences for the society. I am always open to meeting some new faces too! I hope to listen to a range of ideas, and actively work with the team to organise training which will be both interesting and useful. I know not everything is for everybody- but it’s always worth at least a try!
Any questions please ask, I hope I get to meet more of you soon :)
