Having thoroughly enjoyed the thrill and excitement at UCL dodgeball since the start of the academic year, I strongly believe that I have acquired the necessary discipline and skillset to take on the role of men’s team captain.

Regularly attending all competitive training sessions, as well as socials, has not only given me confidence in my ability and opportunities to develop and enhance myself as a player, but also the essential skills needed to perform well within a team.

I’ve really enjoyed competing with others at training sessions and feel that as captain, I’ll be able to strongly contribute towards making future sessions engaging and enjoyable for all players, whilst eagerly working with my teammates to improve our skills ahead of the future league/tournament games.

Winning the league and the London mixed league this year has given me invaluable experience when it comes to playing competitive, high-intensity dodgeball. I’ve been able to greatly improve my understanding of the game alongside having learned several gameplay strategies from other teams that I would like to implement in future training sessions.

As a result, my passion and dedication towards the sport motivate me to stand up for the position of men’s captain with the hope that I’ll be able to inspire others to join our team in succeeding and winning further events next year, as well as aiming to further contribute towards the exhilarating atmosphere here at UCL dodgeball.
