Hey everyone I’m Demi, and I would love to be president of UCL Calisthenics next year!
I’ve been doing calisthenics for 5 years now, and it’s developed to be one of my main passions today. I’ve competed in several national and international competitions since I started, acquiring 2nd place at the last UK national championship.
I want to take UCL Calisthenics to the next level. Having grown up in London I’m very familiar with the UK calisthenics community, and so collaborating with other unis, companies and organising more events will be at the forefront of my goals next year.
More importantly, I’m most excited to lead the society and share the knowledge I’ve gained as well as help others share their knowledge too. I’ve witnessed many members this year make some insane progress, and I’d love to create a dynamic where knowledge is free-flowing and we can learn from each other in a relaxed environment.
And finally, I want to get more people doing calisthenics! This sport is amazing and I have passionately advocated for it since I begun as a 14 year old. Now it’s time to continue doing this and extend the influence of the sport.
