Hi! I’m Precious and I’m running for Welfare Officer for Bubble Tea Society because I think that everyone should feel good while drinking the feel-good :). This academic year, I’ve really enjoyed attending the bubble tea society events because I always knew I’d have an amazing time. In particular, I loved the make-your-own-bubble-tea workshop where I made my very own not-so-great Brown Sugar bubble tea, and the somewhat successful drink-and-draw event where my canvas took multiple plot twists as I was painting. As Welfare Officer, I want to make sure that we all have just as amazing of a time during the society events to come. During the events this year, I really enjoyed interacting with other bubble tea enthusiasts, and next year I hope to have a bigger role as part of the committee in ensuring everyone feels welcome and comfortable, and generally making sure we’re all having a great time sipping on our Peach Oolong tea. In secondary school, I was a peer mentor, which really helped me to develop my interpersonal and communication skills. I also love talking to people and making friends - especially with people with great taste in bubble tea - and thus I hope to be your Welfare Officer next year! :)
