Anson Chan

Hello everyone, my name is Anson. I'm currently in my second year of the Psychology with Education course and I'm nominating myself for the position of Treasurer in the Psychology with Education Society. I firmly believe in the profound impact this society can have on our classmates as well as others within the Institute of Education (IOE). As Treasurer, my commitment is to manage our society's funds strategically and uphold transparency, financial integrity, and responsibility. My primary goal is to ensure that society resources are allocated in ways that support our community-oriented objective: to connect and build an inclusive community within the IOE through various social and career events.

My past experience in the Education, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship Society (EIE) has provided me with a deep understanding of a Treasurer's role, allowing me to oversee financial operations, event organization, and logistics. Additionally, serving as a Sports Secretary in the Chinese Society has equipped me with essential skills in managing budgets and time for creating sport sessions for our members. But most importantly, these roles have granted me valuable event organizing experience, ranging from small workshops and medium-sized panel events to leading a cross-university sports tournament.
