Hello, my name is Nick, a first year undergraduate studying Statistics, Economics and Finance.
So far it has been a pleasure to meet and spend time with other Viet society members. The events were filled with enriching experiences, helping me appreciate and rediscover the traditions and customs that were once distant to me; for someone who has been living abroad for the most of their life. I am excited to continue this cultural adventure and would love to contribute to the Vietnamese society.
A role of an effective event coordinator requires a set of essential skills: strong organisation, excellent communication skills, creativity and adaptability. I believe that I hold such qualities and will be committed to coordinating events that resonate with everyone's desires and interests. My goal is to ensure that we create memorable experiences that everyone can look back on and enjoy.
Thank you for taking your time reading this.
As a first-year student eager to enrich my university experience, I am enthusiastic about getting involved in campus activities. Recognising that the demands of the second year may limit my opportunities, I am keen to make the most of my current academic year, and I believe this position will allow me to do so.
Drawing on my prior experience as an events coordinator during high school, where I served as the head of the prom committee in year 11, I discovered a genuine passion for organising events. Unfortunately, due to heavy academic workload, I couldn't continue this in my last two years of high school. Therefore, I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity provided by the Vietnamese society and am eager to seize it. With strong communication and time management skills, I am confident in my ability to execute this role to the best of my potential.
As an international Vietnamese student, I recognise the significance of fostering a sense of home for everyone in the society. If entrusted with the role of events coordinator, I am dedicated to curating events that evoke a comforting 'home' feeling, fostering a sense of belonging that will allow all students to keep their connection with the Vietnamese culture and traditions.
