I believe that the key to a successful student society is creating an inclusive and safe environment for all members, which is why I am running for Welfare Officer. My goals are to create a comprehensive list of resources which members can use when requiring support, to be the main point of contact for any society related or other issues, to signpost to key contacts when needed, and to actively work on creating a space where all members feel confident to raise any ideas or concerns without fear of judgment.
