I founded Skate Club, but I'm not an admin on the WhatsApp group, please let me have this!
My goals for the year are:
- Ice skating social
- Skate club (digital) sticker pack
- Picnic social (I'll bake something)
- Skate movie night
- Taking suggestions for more!
According to the NHS, university can be a stressful experience . I hope to make Skate Club a welcoming space, even if you've never skated before!
Here are some other reasons to vote for me:
- I own a helmet
- I write risk assessments
- Bakery recommendations (and maybe bakery crawl social?)
- I founded the club
- My skates have light up wheels
Hello Farmers ! 👩🌾👩🌾👩🌾
I'm Yvonne running for events sec this year :) you might have seen me the past few years on the Farm as I've been a member since 2021. I'm a final year geography student and keen on encouraging gardening as a social and radical space!
This year we're planning some new and recurring events from last year:
- Elderflower cordial making in the summer
- Bioblitz (an ecological count of what's on the farm)
- Blackberry picking in the summer
- Annual farm veggie sale at the student centre
- Pond restoration (and irrigation?!)
- Camden garden centre + cafe social (new!)
- Tai chi / meditation at the farm (new!)
- Farm (vegetarian) bake sale at the student centre (new!)
- Jam making workshop? (new!)
- Collaborations with local urban farm - Castehaven Community Garden
We recently ran the annual pumpkin carving event and we're keen to have some festive events soon! We're also involved with making new things (trellis', community bookshelf) at the Institute of Making. Looking forward to seeing you there !
