Hi, I'm Angela, a Third Year student in UCL's School of Pharmacy! I find myself eager to become Charity Officer, because this position will allow me to realise the ideas I have for bettering the world around us. As Charity Officer, I plan to host a variety events that cater to our diverse student body in the School of Pharmacy (such as talent shows, gallery nights, bake sales and more!), to help mobilise SOP students and encourage the raising of funds for a myriad of important causes, such as cancer research and underprivileged school children. It's imperative now more than ever, especially as aspiring healthcare professionals, that we place emphasis on helping others as it allows us to showcase the innate desire we all posses to enhance others' quality of life, with no benefit derived for ourselves. Ultimately, I hope that I can provide opportunities for students to be able to engage in this giving behaviour, and make a significant impact together as one.
I believe I would be a good fit for the Charity Officer role, as I am committed to contributing positively to our school and the broader community. My commitment to charity work is evident in my past experience as a student ambassador, where I've participated in organising various school events helping charities that showcased my leadership and organisational skills. I have researched various charities and am eager to support their causes through the initiatives I hope to lead in this role. I am keen to foster inclusivity and connecting with the community through meaningful efforts. By applying for this position, I’m eager to create meaningful projects that not only raise funds but also bring us together as a school community, and I hope you consider voting for me as Charity officer!
