Description
We are looking for volunteers to redistribute surplus food from UCL east cafes to a nearby community centre that provides food bank service and helps homeless people from February 2024 onwards! Anyone with an interest in helping fight food waste is welcome.
Duties
Volunteers will be in charge of collecting surplus food from UCL cafes around their closing time and delivering the food to our charity partner(s).
Who will the volunteers be working with?
The volunteers will be communicating with the cafe staff (and our charity partner) with support from the UCL East Team Representative.
Training
Volunteers will be required to read through training slides regarding Manual Handling, Food Safety and Allergens and take a short quiz afterwards.

Time commitment
Shifts will take place every Wednesday around 5:15pm. There is no minimum commitment but it would be much appreciated if volunteers can come regularly.
