Plants are everywhere in our daily lives yet we are woefully unaware of them. Botany was part of UCL's founding in 1826, and was a vital vessel in the university's growth for over 150 years, yet this legacy is now being washed away by systemic neglect and underfunding: the university has not hired a plant biologist in the last decade despite repeated petitions by students.

To combat plant blindness, will have a whole range of events from field trips to Kew to cherry blossom picnics, from plant swaps to bioblitzes in Epping Forest. We are currently working on the description of a new species which will be published in the first issue of our periodical, the Kalpataru.

Members will have access to a wide range of events and a variety of seeds/seedlings/cuttings will be provided gratis.
