Being The Cure
Being The Cure's mission is to develop the next generation of society's heroes through our evidence-informed character education that instils honesty, kindness, and humility in every child.
Description

Being the cure – was originally founded to respond to child crime in Delhi, India where it was demonstrated that with education for heroism transformed children’s outlooks and worldviews positively enough to an extent that crime numbers were slashed by 89%.

Today, they would like help investigating the impact of their Saturday School for Heroism – where they teach children about the fundamental tenets of humility, honesty and kindness. This investigation will be conducted through an analysis of survey responses from questionnaires given to students before and after their time at the Saturday school. The comparison of the exit-line vs base-line responses will inform the assessment of the programme’s impact.

This is part of Being The Cure’s broader vision of encouraging educational policy to include character education as part of the national curriculum. Having approached the Department for Education (DfE), a key requirement that is needed to drive policy change is sound evidence-based recommendation, that shows real-world potential and impact – which this research would contribute towards.
