Islington Council - Community Wealth Building
Islington has a strong and dynamic economy, many parts of which continue to thrive. However, our economy does not work for everyone: too many local people experience poverty and disadvantage and too many local businesses struggle to overcome barriers to growth. Without action, Islington’s gap between the haves and have-nots will increase.
Description

The Bright Lives Wellbeing Coaching Service is a new and innovative approach to delivering Early Intervention and Prevention support for vulnerable adults. With just over one year of operation, this service aims to provide crucial support to residents with complex needs and vulnerabilities who may not meet the threshold for statutory services. We are seeking a group of volunteers to design and deliver an evaluation to assess the impact of the service on residents and the wider community. This is an exciting opportunity to apply evaluation skills to a real-world context and make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable adults in our community. The volunteers will have the chance to contribute to the design of evaluation methodologies, collect and analyse data, and generate insights that will inform program improvement and future decision-making.

Key areas to be examined include:

  • The impact of the service on the community
  • Measures of success, such as improvements in wellbeing and reductions in crisis escalation
  • The extent to which demand for statutory services was reduced.
Duties
  1. Collaborate with the evaluation team to develop a evaluation framework and methodology.
  2. Gather information from program participants, stakeholders, and community members through the defined collection methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups).
  3. Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to assess the impact of the service on residents' wellbeing, resilience, and connections within their communities.
  4. Write the evaluation reports, summaries, and presentations that communicate key findings, insights, and recommendations.
Who will the volunteers be working with?
