St Mungo's
Our mission is to house, support and care for vulnerable people in London who either have been, or at risk of sleeping rough and homelessness. Our aim is to make sure that homeless and vulnerable people can look forward with optimism and can contribute to the quality of life.
Description

We believe true development happens deep within a person, and that positive interactions with positive people are the key to unlocking potential. Our programmes places emphasis on providing learners with opportunities to build their confidence as well as their skills. Giving presentations, completing creative projects, and supporting others to learn are just a few examples.

As a Digital Inclusion Volunteer you will be working one-on-one with a small group of clients to help them progress through our Digital Skills Programme. You will be encouraging clients to engage with activities, either in the accommodation where they live or through our Learning, training, and Education team. Activities are often someone’s first step towards thinking about their aspirations and going on to access services for employment and learning. As a volunteer supporting clients to develop their digital skills, you will be doing something simple that makes a really big difference.

Duties

In this role, you will be supporting with all or some of the following tasks:

  • Supporting students to access online sessions and answering any IT-related questions they may have.

  • Providing a safe space for students to take risks and change their behaviours.
  • Setting up the classroom and joining online sessions.
  • Adhering to St Mungo’s Policies and Procedures at all times.
