What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

I hope to help BME students to:

  • Raise their voice and communicate concerns timely
  • Enjoy BME centered activities
What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

As a student from Africa(Kenya), I have a first hand experience of challenges faced by BME students thus have a good understanding of the same

Additionally, I have previously worked in an international student organization called AIESEC which is non-governemental and not-for-profit. Through this platform I was able to develop my leadership skills. AIESEC also provided me with a cross-cultural experience which will allow me to represent all BME students from various backgrounds equally.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I will advocate for:

  • Activities  centered around mental health of BME students
  • Activities for integration of BME students
  • Possible solutions to help BME students enjoy  financially sustainable student life

What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

BME groups are underrepresented at UCL, and many of them do not have a platform to express their voice. If I have the opportunity to help, the following changes will be made:

  1. Bring everybody together by creating a platform
  2. Creating a community that helps people from BME groups
