WONDER Foundation
Our mission is to empower women, girls and their community through access to quality education so that they can exit poverty for good. We work with women-led local partners, towards a future where women and girls are empowered to make informed life choices and lead the way in their own personal development.
Description

WONDER Foundation is a charity registered in the UK (no. 1148679) that empowers women and girls through quality education and access to good work so that they can exit poverty for good. 

You can proactively support WONDER to improve and enhance the delivery of our programmes, advocate for our cause and raise money for the ongoing projects with our local partners and the education projects that they deliver to women and children living in poverty. We are always looking for pro-active and engaging volunteers with a real passion for our cause. 

Duties

In this role you would work closely with our Chief Programmes Officer, supporting her for example by:  

  • providing briefs on issues of interest, relating to our projects or their thematic work 

  • providing briefs or implementing actions to support our campaigning or advocacy in these areas 

  • facilitating the delivery of training/ information sharing sessions  

  • providing digests of learning, to inform our partners and the wider community 

  • supporting her in project design and delivery, as needed 

  • other support tasks, as needed

Training
Our team have interned and volunteered ourselves so we know what our student volunteers are looking for and work hard to make sure that your work is meaningful and earns you CV Brownie Points as well as gaining you skills.

We pay travel expenses within London and we look to be flexible to accommodate your ongoing education or other paid work.

You will have the chance to undertake challenging work with a passionate team and we are committed to our interns' career development.

We are keen for you to have opportunities to learn, to ask questions and to feel like a part of our team!

Time commitment

At least 8 hours per week
