UCL East Study Spaces

There are individual and group study spaces available in both Marshgate and One Pool Street. Here you can find out all you need to know about the best places to study at UCL East, and they are available to all registered UCL members.

UCL East Library

The UCL East library provides study facilities, a range of services, and access to staff support for all registered UCL library users. The Library is located on the second floor of Marshgate, and you can book available spaces here.

Click and Collect

UCL East Library does not hold any collections on site, however, you can order books from any of our libraries and have them delivered to Marshgate .You can pick them up and return them at the same location. It means that you have access to our vast collections without the need to physically go to each separate location.

Printing, Scanning, Photocopying

We provide three MFDs in the library space. See our web page on Photocopying, Printing and Scanning Services for details.

Laptop loans

We have a laptop loans service. Please speak to a member of staff for assistance.

Lockers

Lockers are available for UCL students.

Project Space

The Project Space can be located on the 4th floor, and you do not need to book to use this space. There are booths and large groups of tables for either individual or group study work. Please bear in mind that this is not a quiet/silent zone as the Library is.

Study Booths

There are study booths available throughout the various floors in Marshgate, and these can be used for individual or group study. Please bear in mind that as they are located outside on the floor, they are not in a quiet/silent zone.

Learning Hub

The Learning Hub, formerly the UCL East Library, is located on the first floor of One Pool Street. You do not need to book a space to use it.

Study Booths

There are study booths available on both the first and second floor of One Pool Street.

Room 313

Room 313 is a computer room that is located in Tower 2 of One Pool Street and is accessible for students, except when classes are in session. The access is as follows:

For all UCL students:
Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00: Exterior door

For One Pool Street residents:
Monday to Friday 18:00 - 23:00: Interior door (next to the laundry room)
Saturday to Sunday 09:00 - 23:00: Interior door (next to the laundry room)
