APPLY BEFORE MIDNIGHT 10 JULY

Are you a doctoral student looking to build experience in the Third Sector? Does problem-solving and solution-creating excite you?

Join us for an immersive and impactful day at the Hopscotch Women's Centre, a vital community organisation with a rich history of supporting Camden's diverse population for almost 80 years. This is a unique opportunity for UCL research students to apply your skills in a real-world setting, gain new insights, and make a tangible difference.

Hopscotch has been a cornerstone of the Camden community, supporting minoritised ethnic women facing gender and racial inequity. With services in 24 languages, Hopscotch offers support and advocacy particularly for women from diverse diasporas in Camden.

Apply to collaborate with a group of doctoral students and Hopscotch to co-design a solution to increase their capacity for influencing and campaigning on crucial issues such as women's rights and trauma-informed practices. Your participation will not only benefit the community through the ideas you bring, but also enrich your own research and professional journey.

What can you expect to learn from the day?

  • Hands-On Experience: Engage with key stakeholders for Hopscotch and apply your skills in real life.
  • Improve your Co-Production Skills: Discover ways to work together with stakeholders to co-design solutions to issues outside of the classroom.
  • Insight into the Third Sector: Gain a deeper understanding of the essential role that non-profit organisations like Hopscotch play in civil society.
  • Boost Your Communication Confidence: Improve your ability to convey complex ideas effectively, an essential skill for any researcher.

Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to develop your skills, expand your network, and contribute to meaningful change.

This opportunity is only open to doctoral, PhD and MRes students.
