IT Teacher

We help improve the quality of life of disabled Spanish and Portuguese speaking people from Latin America, Europe and Africa living in London. For people with little access to services in the capital our aim is to work with their carers, families and communities, improving their quality of life, putting an end to isolation and to support community integration. Our mission is to teach our users basic computer skills so we are looking for volunteers able to commit a minimum of 1 or 2 days per week (3-4 hours) for at least 3 months to provide 1-on-1 computer lessons.

ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages)Tutor

VOLUNTEER TUTORS NEEDED

United Migrant Workers Education Project (UMWEP) is looking for volunteer tutors to deliver its Alternative Education Model (AEM). We welcome experienced ESOL and ICT Tutors/Assistant Tutors, but also those with an interest in non-formal adult education. You don’t need a teaching qualification to join our project, but we require you have a good standard of the subject you want to teach.

ESOL Teacher (13-19 Year Olds)

We are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and motivated individual with experience teaching young people to deliver weekly ESOL classes to 13-20 year olds. The post-holder will be responsible for planning and delivering creative and interactive ESOL classes for up to 10 children aged 13-20 years old. Most of the young people that attend our ESOL classes are Spanish/ Portuguese speakers who have recently arrived to the UK from Spain or Latin America and as a result, do yet have a place in school or work employment and have little to no English language skills.

Bengali Speaking Befriending Volunteer

Are you Bengali or Hindi speaking and interested in befriending an older Bangladeshi woman living locally to UCL? We are looking for someone who is available to help out once a week for a couple of hours by assisting one of our members to go out for a walk or to the shops. Most importantly you must be able to offer some company and the opportunity to speak in Bengali or Hindi.
