United Migrant Workers Education Project (UMWEP) is looking for volunteer tutors to deliver its Alternative Education Model (AEM). We welcome experienced ESOL and ICT Tutors/Assistant Tutors, but also those with an interest in non-formal adult education. You don’t need a teaching qualification to join our project, but we require you have a good standard of the subject you want to teach.

Cantonese and Mandarin speakers sought! We’re looking for a proactive volunteer with good communication skills to assist in contacting our database of members. We’ll be conducting membership renewals as well as general outreach to solicit their thoughts and opinions on health matters facing themselves and the community. We are the UK’s only charity providing health and social services to the Chinese community.

IT Teacher

We help improve the quality of life of disabled Spanish and Portuguese speaking people from Latin America, Europe and Africa living in London. For people with little access to services in the capital our aim is to work with their carers, families and communities, improving their quality of life, putting an end to isolation and to support community integration. Our mission is to teach our users basic computer skills so we are looking for volunteers able to commit a minimum of 1 or 2 days per week (3-4 hours) for at least 3 months to provide 1-on-1 computer lessons.
