United Migrant Workers Education Project (UMWEP) is looking for volunteer tutors to deliver its Alternative Education Model (AEM). We help improve the quality of life of disabled Spanish and Portuguese speaking people from Latin America, Europe and Africa living in London. For people with little access to services in the capital our aim is to work with their carers, families and communities, improving their quality of life, putting an end to isolation and to support community integration. Our mission is to teach our users basic computer skills so we are looking for volunteers able to commit a minimum of 1 or 2 days per week (3-4 hours) for at least 3 months to provide 1-on-1 computer lessons.

We would love a community researcher is to talk to local community members that live around Euston to gather feedback on the High Speed Two (HS2) disruption that has resulted in significant increase in crime and anti-social behaviour (ABS). Through the help of community researchers, we hope to understand their concerns and issue that maybe preventing community from contacting the police and reporting such crimes. We are looking for students who are willing to use their language skills to be able to transcribing for us and support the project with the evaluation process.
