Description

This is a great occasion to learn about employment rights, and get hands on experience in service provision. Guided by our Service Provision Manager, you will help clients understand their employment status and walk them through the first steps towards employment justice.

Duties

As a Service Provision Assistant Volunteer, your role will be focused on:

  • Greeting clients and determining eligibility
  • Gathering evidence on individual cases
  • Following up on past clients.

Depending on your experience and confidence, in time you will be welcome to assist with the more demanding aspect of service provision which entails taking action towards employment rights and employability.

Who will the volunteers be working with?
Volunteers will be working with our service provision team in London.

Time commitment

We are looking for someone who can spare a minimum of 4 hours per week for at least 4 months. We would like the volunteer to start as soon as possible.

UCL Departments

This organisation is one of our community partner organisations.

Like all volunteer recruiters we work with, they have signed up to our service standards, agreeing to abide by our policy on partnership working to keep you safe and supported whilst you volunteer.

You’ll never be out of pocket for volunteering through us – with in-London travel expenses to and from your volunteering guaranteed.

In addition, the team here at Students’ Union UCL Volunteering Service is here to support you throughout your volunteering journey – you can get in touch with us at any time.
