We run these cafés and bars, and think they’re great (you might have noticed from our generous reviews)

Print Room Café

Hands down, the Print Room Café is one of the prettiest spots on campus. Tucked away near South Junction and wrapped in leaves most of the year, going to the Print Room feels like a treat. The café boasts live music performances throughout the week, top quality coffee in the day, beer and wine in the evening and delicious homemade food any time. The beautiful surroundings and the outside terrace create a unique atmosphere that will make you forget that you’re on campus.

12/10 we can’t print your essay

George Farha, Gordon’s and Bloomsbury Cafés

These cafés are lifesavers. Conveniently located coffee in the morning, a panini when you need comfort food and fresh salads and smoothies when you are longing for a health boost. All this, at a snip of the price of high street competitors. All three cafés are located in Union buildings where there is much more to explore as well…

The Institute Bar

This bar is our bright and shiny, temporary pop-up bar right in front of the Institute of Education which will stay with us until our new bar development on level 4 is ready for us. You won’t be able to miss this one and you definitely shouldn’t. It’s a chilled and laid-back space with pizzas, comfy sofas, pool tables and great drink deals.

11/10 you’ll miss it when it’s gone

Mully’s

Our basement bar, in the depths of the Lewis’s building, is our live venue on campus, always packed with exciting society performances. Whether it’s Comedy Club stand ups, Musical Theatre open mic nights, Live Music battle of the bands, or just Karaoke Saturdays - student talent is always on show here. Maybe you’re on stage next?

13/10 underground is always better

Phineas

Study and socialise during the day, come along for a drink in the evening or dance with us into the night. Phineas is the biggest of our bars and named after the Union mascot. It’s the spiritual home of TeamUCL and host to our legendary Sports Nite and regular pub quizzes. Phineas is also hosting the monthly LGBT+ club night, the infamous Glittoris party series. A ‘something for everyone’ bar up on the third floor of 25 Gordon Street.

14/10 we’re in Phineas now

The Huntley

It might sound odd coming from us, but The Huntley isn't a student bar. It's the UCL students' local pub. Think wooden bar, dark green leather seats and pale ale on tap. It's non-studenty drinks at studenty prices. It’s proper pub pints and everything else you’d expect in your local traditional pub, but at a price you won’t find anywhere else in Zone 1. Come on in and join us for a quick one, we’re in the Lewis’s building.

13/10 would pint here again
