The academic sections give students the opportunity to regularly debate and discuss their course, needs and interests within the Union, UCL and beyond. The academic sections run a number of extra curricular activities such as social events and skill development opportunities to help build communities across courses. Institute of Education Section

International Students’ Section

The International Students’ Sections is open to all UCL international students and allows you to bring along any issues around language, culture or immigration you might have and to get involved with planning events. UK students are also encouraged to get involved, particularly if interested in studying abroad or learning a new language.

Postgraduate Association

The Postgraduate Association Academic Section represents, supports and serves postgraduate students at UCL. It allows postgraduate students to propose, discuss and vote on campaigns and services run by the association at regular open forums. The section not only allows you to raise your concerns and needs, it also aims to create a sense of community through social events and academic workshops with the overall objective of improving the quality of university life for postgraduate students at UCL.

RUMS

The RUMS Academic Sections hopes to shape the university and union experience for UCL medical students. The section aims to better the educational, welfare, and social facets of a medical student’s time at the Union, giving you the opportunity to explore your concerns and interests collectively and participate in projects, campaigns and social events.

School of Pharmacy Students’ Section

The School of Pharmacy Students’ Section is open to all Pharmacy students studying at UCL. The Section is an opportunity for you to highlight issues and concerns particularly effecting students of the School of Pharmacy, to shape how the Union represents these students, and to organise and participate in social activities.
