Staying safe at UCL
On the whole, London is a safe city and we want you to enjoy your university experience here as much as possible. However, we are aware that there have been a number of reports of crimes committed recently around Bloomsbury, including a serious incident involving a student today.
Reporting to the Union
Students’ Union UCL has a firm zero tolerance stance towards any form of harassment, sexual misconduct and bullying. This means that we will not tolerate it in any of our spaces or at any of our events. If you experience any of these behaviours whilst at the union or union-run events:
The Active Bystander Programme – Our History
Since launching at UCL, The Active Bystander Programme has trained over 65,000 students, student leaders and student staff, empowering them to identify and challenge poor behaviour to help create a safer and more inclusive environment. But how did we get here?
Budgeting and Managing Your Income

Whether it’s budgeting tips, saving on food, or understanding your income, we’ve got practical resources to help you feel more confident. Take control of your finances with friendly, free support made for students like you.
