What is Mental Health Awareness Week? 

Mental Health Awareness Week campaign tackles the stigma attached to Mental Health. Each year the campaign has a different themes. Previously, themes have been loneliness, body image, and kindness.

Why should I get involved?  

Sport and physical activity is a great opportunity to make new friends and have fun. As we know, exercise and movement is good for both our physical and mental health. It can help with improving our sleep, managing stress, and being a mood booster! 

How can I get involved?

In addition to our Term 3 Project Active timetable, we will be offering an exciting timetable for Mental Health Awareness Week (MHAW) available for UCL students and staff.

Our MHAW timetable is full of fun activities from Project Active, Team UCL and Bloomsbury Fitness to help you get active! So why not challenge yourself at Bloomsbury Fitness, unwind with Team UCL Men’s Walk & Talk, have fun scoring goals at TOCA Social, or de-stress at our Girls Night In!

All activities and event require a ticket (even if they are free) So make sure you secure your space today by clicking here. 

After this week you can stay active by joining Bloomsbury Fitness gym, engaging in Team UCL Men's Health Active events such as the Walk & Talk, and participating in Project Active weekly sessions throughout Term 3 and summer.

There is also Women Only hours on:

  • Wednesday: 07:00-09:30
  • Sunday: 19:00 - 21:00

UCL Student Support and Wellbeing comprises a range of services and resources for students at all levels. They’ve a huge collection of resources for mental health and wellbeing in general, as well as support for specific concerns including depression and anxiety.
