Join us for the Inter-Uni Back 2 School Picnic at Regent’s Park

We’re bringing together UCL Filipino Society and 8 other Filipino societies for a relaxed afternoon of games, food and good company. Whether you’re coming with friends or looking to meet new people, it’s a chance to kick off the new academic year together and connect with Filipino students from across London.🎉

There’ll be volleyball 🏐, cup pong 🥤, a piñata 🪅, tug of war 💪, UNO 🎲 and more, with prizes throughout the afternoon. Bring your own food and drinks, find a spot on the grass, and join in whenever you feel like it.

We’ll have students from 🔴 KCL · 🟠 MDX · 🟡 LSE · 🟢 ICL · 🔵 QMUL · 🟣 UCL · 🩷 Kingston · ⚫ RHUL · ⚪ UoG. University stickers will be given out on arrival so you can easily recognise and meet people from each society. Everyone is welcome 🤝, whether you’re a fresher, returning student or joining us from one of the collaborating Filipino societies.

🎒 WHAT TO BRING

Bring your own food and drinks and enjoy a picnic with friends, your university society and the wider Filipino student community. Food will not be prepared or served communally by UCL Filipino Society. This helps us accommodate different allergies, dietary requirements and personal preferences, while avoiding unnecessary food sharing or cross contamination. Please bring only what you’re comfortable eating and remember to take your rubbish with you when you leave.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

🎟️ Do I need a Taster Membership?

Yes. You’ll need a Filipino Society Taster Membership to attend this event. The Taster Membership is free and is designed for students who want to try out the society before committing to full membership. Getting a Taster Membership also helps us keep track of attendees and make sure everyone attending the event is registered through the Students’ Union. You do not need to be a full Filipino Society member to come along.

👥 Coming alone or not joining the games?

Absolutely fine. Everyone is welcome, whether you come alone, with friends, or from another Filipino Society. You don’t need to participate in every activity. Come along to meet people, eat, chat and enjoy the afternoon at your own pace.

🌦️ What should I bring and what happens if it rains?

Bring your own food and drinks, plus anything you’d like for the picnic. We recommend bringing something to sit on. Any important updates about weather or changes to the event will be shared through UCL Filipino Society’s Instagram and WhatsApp.
