The Road Back to Normal
The next stage of reopening campus begins on Monday 17 May. It’s been a long and difficult few months, but we’re slowly getting back to doing all the things we love so much.

We've been waiting.As we approach the end of Term 3, there is a wind of change in the air. Exams will soon be over and things are slowly starting to open back up. The past year has been difficult for us all, but a return to some form of normality is now in sight.
Project Active Postgraduate: Dance Fit
A total body workout combining cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility! This class mixes dance and aerobic low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval style, calorie-burning dance fitness party to the beat of hip-hop, salsa and mambo.The class is beginner friendly and open to all fitness levels.

The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week this year is nature. There is a clear link between spending time in nature and positive wellbeing, as you may have discovered over the course of the last year!

The return of sport
In the past few weeks, we’ve seen the Government’s roadmap out of lockdown in action, with outdoor sports and gyms being some of the first activities prioritised. It’s no surprise that this is the case, with the countless benefits to mental and physical health that sports and physical activity bring.

Why is getting students back to campus at the earliest possible opportunity no longer a priority?
The Government announcement this week that a “return to in-person teaching [will be] alongside step 3 of the road map, when restrictions on social contact will be eased further and the majority of indoor settings can reopen”

Suthida Chang is a postgraduate student in The Bartlett, studying Innovation, Public Policy and Public Value. Since October 2020, Suthida has been volunteering as a Specialist Mentor with Project Access, one of our partner organisations which works to support students from non-traditional backgrounds to access the UK's top universities.
