Here's what I've been up to!

April Report

Over the Easter Break I have:

  • Worked on the Awards Ceremonies as my main focus. I have been giving feedback about the actual ceremonies, decorations, and the afterparties. I have also gone through every nominations within all 4 awards categories, shortlisting students and also chaired all the 4 panels.
  • My second focus was my alumni event: 'Future Leaders Forum: Using your student leader experience to fast track your career'. As the event is happening soon, I have been working on sorting and briefing the speakers, marketing it to as many students as possible, and doing all the admin to make sure everything is prepared.

How have I communicated with students in the past fortnight?

  • Via emails
  • Had many 1-1 meetings with students about their society affiliations
  • Spoke to students at awards panels.

My Priorities

Sports are central to student life, helping students grow, become more resilient, and achieve their full potential.

I visited a potential sports venue in London with the UCL Estates team and spoke about some of the types of spaces we need for sports activity.

Students make the most of their university experience by self-discovery, learning from each other, developing skills, and having fun.
  • I have been working on the Awards ceremonies - giving suggestions and ideas about the decorations and afterparties.
  • I have been working on my alumni event: contacting speakers, starting promotion, and doing all the admin to make sure we are prepared for the event.
  • I have been shortlisting students for awards and chairing all 4 awards panels: community, arts, sports, and societies. I really want to make sure that students are appreciated for the work that they do and awards is a great way to celebrate their achievements.
Students have access to a thriving arts programme that broadens their horizons while supporting their wellbeing and developing their skills.

Chaired the garage bid panel, being part of the decision panel on what productions will go into the People's Camden Theatre and what weeks they will be assigned.

Sabbatical Officer Reports

Our Sabbatical Officers create a report every two weeks to inform our members. They believe that keeping everyone in the loop can foster a lively, supportive atmosphere where students feel encouraged to participate and share their ideas. These updates are a great way for them to share what's been happening, from their current projects to collaborations with different student groups, academic departments, and community organizations.

In each report, you can expect to find insights into the challenges they are tackling, the solutions they are implementing, and the positive impacts these efforts have on student life. From supporting engaging events and workshops to launching new programs that promote well-being and academic success, their initiatives are designed to enhance the overall campus experience.

Voting Record

As democratic leaders, all Sabbatical Officers must maintain transparency in their work. Below is a record of the voting on policies introduced during the academic year 2024-2025 and how Ana has voted. Please note that Sabbatical Officers do not participate in all Zones and, therefore, do not vote on every policy.
