Join the UCL Yetis for our Ice Hockey taster session 🏒
Everyone is welcome to come and get a feel for the ice, even if you’ve never skated before; at the C team, we're very well versed in creating the best experience for complete beginners, as that's where a lot of us have started :)
If you aren't new to the sport or played it your whole life, you’ll get a chance to get to meet our A or B team, ask questions, and hopefully want to join the Yetis family!
You could make your own way to the ice rink, or you are more than welcome to meet us in front of the George Farha Café at 12:00 and travel together. Either way, please arrive at the rink at no later than 13:00!
This event is free, but please be sure to book a ticket if you need equipment! For players with their own kit, you don't need a ticket, but make sure you have a free taster membership!
Location: Streatham Ice and Leisure centre
Timings (on ice):
- A team: 13:45 - 14:15
- A/B/C team: 14:15 - 15:15
- B/C team: 15:15 - 15:45
Equipment:
- Everyone needs to wear full kit! This a requirement by BUIHA, and to keep everyone safe.
- Skates are available to hire at the rink, or you can save £3.65 by digging through the many pairs we have in our locker to find some that fit you.
What to wear and bring:
- Wear clothes that are comfortable to move around (and sweat) in
- A bottle of water
We hope to see you at the rink soon! Please find our insta @uclyetis, and keep an eye on our tasters group chat (link in bio) for further information, and feel free to dm us with any questions!
