Congratulations on becoming part of the UCL community! We here at SSEES Society are super excited to welcome you to our home on campus with our first ever event of the year! 🎉
We are the departmental society representing students at the UCL School of Slavonic & East European Studies (SSEES) and function as the home of Eastern European life, language, and culture at UCL! 🌍
Join us in the Masaryk Common Room to meet your peers, professors, the school's Director, and your student committee for this year! 🤝
There will be free food and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, as well as the potential to purchase and inquire about society merchandise! 🍷
Whilst this event is primarily for SSEES students, it is open to all members of the UCL community, especially those with an interest in and/or connection to Eastern Europe! 👋
Important Information!
- The Masaryk Common Room is located on the 4th floor of the SSEES building and is wheelchair accessible.
- Entry as well as all food and drink are free, but a valid form of ID is required due to the presence of alcohol.
- Due to the presence of alcohol, this event is only for 18+ individuals.
- If you have any allergies, please inform us prior to attending the event.
- We expect all attendees to abide by both UCL's and the Student Union's Code of Conduct.
The front door to SSEES is a power-assisted door with automatic door push buttons and an accessible wheelchair ramp. The building also has a lift that will take you to all floors, including the 4th floor on which the event is being held.
This event is considered to be family friendly, although please be aware that alcohol will be present.
