Try out life drawing! Learn and upskill with a live model!

The 🌈 UCL LGBTQ+ Network and 🎨UCL Art Society are collaborating on Queer Life Drawing, a highly successful event celebrating the bodies and people of the LGBTQ+ community and giving you space to express yourself creatively through artwork. We will be working with Libby Morris, an incredible community artist who will guide the event and make it engaging with small challenges to help grow your creative mind. They've led similar events at The Divine, focusing on queer and Trans* POC models and their anatomy.

Traditionally, life drawing spaces focus on the norm, the idea of perfect bodies, and what society considers beautiful. But bodies come in many forms, and people come in many ethnicities and sexualities, and we must represent them in our artwork. The model will be nude, as is with life drawing; please remain respectful and do not take photos during the event. We are also restricting this event to over-18s for safety and risk-assessment reasons. You may, however, take photos of your work after the event ends. And that you respect the model.

⚠️ The ticket to the event is just an expression of interest; there will be a £5 payment due at the door in cash (alternatively, you can pay by bank, but this is discouraged). All money goes to materials, the demonstrator, the model, and to fund society work.

Note: If you can't find the Lewis Building, it is the same building as the George Farha Cafe and Mully's. A staircase is located to the right of the entrance, next to the Café counter.
