The Francis Crick Institute is a biomedical research institute helping to understand why disease develops and to translate discoveries into new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat illnesses such as cancer. Teams of staff at the Institute have been taking part in Green Impact, an environmental accreditation programme and we are looking for students for become environmental auditors and see just what steps have been put in place to make the Institute a sustainable place to work.

Charity Podz Partnership Support

Noah’s Ark are in the very early days of a partnership with Charity Podz, the charitable arm of a family business, Toy Podz. They have been incredibly successful with Toy Podz and have recently branched into supporting charities by supplying un-manned concessions that are branded with the charity logo and marketing message. The concessions sell licensed capsuled toys for £1 of which the charity receives 25p. They’re perfect for keeping children entertained!

We have a brilliant opportunity to raise much needed awareness and funds through this partnership.

Branch Organisers

Founded by students, SSSK seeks to change the lives of street children around the world.

You can help, as we are looking for a small team to set up a branch at UCL, with a variety of roles.

These include a Chair/President, Secretary (to co-ordinate admin), Treasurer (to keep records of any monies raised or spent), Events Organisers (for fund raising and awareness raising), with Advocacy, Publicity, and Social Media leaders. You will be supported by SSSK Trustees, but are free to develop the branch in your own ways, within an appropriate ethical frame.

Wild East Project Volunteer

Our Wild East project connects people all ages with the hidden nature and history of two well-loved green spaces in East London.

Volunteers engage with families and community groups in a variety of outdoor activities; they will use their creativity to find new ways to engage with the public and will support individual and small groups in discovering wildlife, habitats and the history of these two remarkable places.

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for Women Business Support executive roles, to support our ‘Women Economic Empowerment Projects’.

You will be working to support a group of women in Uganda by raising funds to invest in their small businesses to help generate income and break poverty cycle.

Enfield Peer Educator

Organisation: 

The Health Promotion team in Enfield are looking for a volunteer to help provide information and support around HIV prevention to individuals to communities in Enfield.

The right volunteer will help the team to:

• Provide short, factual presentations on HIV and/or the Terrence Higgins Trust.

• Run outreach stalls, both as a team, and independently to engage members of the community to take an HIV test

• Visiting barber shops and salons to run outreach sessions

Women's Support Volunteer / General Volunteer

Can you speak good English and Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)? Are you eager to help the disadvantaged people in our community? Come and join us!

Chinese Information and Advice Centre (CIAC) provides free information, advice and support to disadvantaged Chinese people in our community living in the UK. This includes supporting women and children who are victims, or at risk of domestic violence, and advice on issues such as welfare and benefit, immigration, asylum and homelessness.

LGBT+ ambassador in schools

3 in 4 LGBT+ young people have been bullied, and LGBT+ school students are twice as likely to face discrimination.

Our network of 200 trained LGBT+ ambassadors work to change that, by championing LGBT+ equality and allyship in schools and colleges as relatable LGBT+ role models.

They also blog, tweet and raise awareness all over the UK.

Your help would really make a difference in helping us raise awareness and funds. It is hoped that volunteers can commit to supporting in this role for a minimum of 12 months, but this can be flexible.

We hope to provide you with the opportunity to build connections with the local community, to develop public speaking skills and to organise effective presentations to deliver to an audience.

Our Wild Schools project enables children to explore the curriculum in the beautiful outdoor setting of West Ham Park which maximises their learning experience.
