Ride our Story Bike  outdoors - a great summer job!

A chance to develop a new social action service from grounds up!

  • A great opportunity for a outgoing, natural promoter who loves people.
  • Help less mobile people and a deprived area.
Duties
  1. Ride the StoryBike!
  2. Take care of the StoryBike
  3. To engage community and build use of the StoryBike 
  4. Build audience via StoryBike and routes for outdoor health via heritage through outreach and communications

What you need to be?

Great with people, responsible, outgoing, can cycle, community minded, a good communicator.

We are developing an exciting new service: a StoryBike, a sustainable intergenerational electric passenger taxi service; for outdoor health along heritage routes, storytelling, social prescribing.

You need to use this and promote this via outreach and partnering, develop service and evaluate. The StoryBike was acquired under the GLA Future Neighbourhoods Scheme as a sustainable community outreach service. Please consider which role is more suitable.

Who will the volunteers be working with?
Work with a creative social enterprise A Space for us People’s Museum
and in Somers Town with community groups.
Potential for working at weekends at Canopy Market.

Time commitment

Can commit to Friday, Saturday and Sunday weekends. 2-4 days a week.
Where will you work?

Somers Town and around lively Kings Cross Canopy Market, Chalton Market, and report to the People’s Museum, 52 Phoenix Rd, NW1 1ES.

Preference given to local to Somers Town person.
