Students' Union UCL has policies in place to protect adults and young people at risk of abuse. The Adult at Risk Policy and the Children at Risk Policy both outline our approach to safeguarding our members and can be found on this page.

Last year, UCL students collectively gave 63,400 hours of their time as volunteers within London. That's the equivalent of one very busy person volunteering for over 33 working years! In fact, it represents the efforts of 2209 students who got involved via the Volunteering Service.

Behind the scenes at the London Chinese New Year Festival
I volunteered at the London Chinese New Year Festival with the London Chinatown Chinese Association, which took place on Sunday 26 January, from Trafalgar square to Chinatown and Shaftesbury Avenue.

Putting things into perspective
Early January, we held our Lunch and Masterclass session, with the intention of inspiring UCL students to lead a community volunteering project. With a talk from a motivational speaker, sandwiches and some team-building activities, we hope that the attendees left feeling motivated to take action.
