I bring strong communication, organisation, and teamwork skills, along with a genuine passion for bringing people together through meaningful activities. My experience as a House Captain and Student Council member helped me develop confidence in communicating between students and teachers — listening to ideas, raising concerns clearly, and helping both sides work toward shared goals. These roles taught me how to represent others’ voices effectively and create positive, collaborative environments where everyone feels heard and included.
I hope to make volunteering opportunities more visible, inclusive, and rewarding for students. I’d like to build stronger connections between students and volunteering organisers, making it easier for everyone to find roles that fit their interests and contribute to the community. My goal is to help create projects that are both impactful and enjoyable, where people feel proud of what they achieve together.
I’m approachable, reliable, and passionate about helping others. I’ll make sure students’ ideas and feedback are heard and acted on, and I’ll work closely with both students and staff to make volunteering a bigger, more connected part of our community.
If elected UCL Volunteering Rep, I aim to make volunteering an essential and valued part of UCL life.
To provide immediate, high-impact digital and project-based opportunities, such as web design for a local charity or a one-week social media campaign, I will launch a "Skills-Based Volunteering Drive."
I intend to create a "Community Impact Panel," which will meet termly with three to four significant charity partners and a rotating group of student volunteers, to make sure our volunteer work has a real impact. Direct communication and organised input on our strengths will facilitate growth.
I am ecstatic to contribute my extensive experience in volunteering, including teaching orphans, leading tree plantation initiatives, and organising impactful charity drives. As the President of Child Rights, I was instrumental in establishing the first child court in Pakistan, championing fair, free, and equal trials for children. Additionally, my leadership as the President of the STEM, Robotics, and German Societies has honed my abilities in effective leadership, community engagement, fostering collaboration, and executing complex projects with excellence.
Vote for me to transform UCL volunteering from a good opportunity into an essential experience. I'm ready to act on three core aims:
Skills-Based Sprints: Creating short, high-impact digital roles to involve students from ALL faculties, boosting participation by 25%.
Impact Panel: Establishing a direct feedback loop with local charities, ensuring our efforts are genuinely impactful and aligned with their needs.
Alumni Network: Launching a career-focused network to demonstrate the value and appeal of volunteering.
I don't just plan; I execute. Let's build a stronger community, together!
If I am elected as a volunteer representative, my main goal is to enable every student to participate in the activities more meaningfully. First of all, I will promote UCL's "Volunteer Center" and call on students to actively participate in volunteer activities. Secondly, I will help students find suitable volunteer services based on their different interests and time arrangements. Finally, I hope every student can feel that volunteer service is not merely "something to do", but a fulfilling growth - whether you can spare an hour each week or the entire afternoon.
I have some experience. I have been a volunteer teacher in primary schools offline for two years and have also recorded micro-lessons for students in Zimbabwe. All of these have taught me how to provide corresponding support to different people. I was also the minister of the Publicity Department in high school, which honed my organizational skills. I have also participated in the volunteer services of UCL, so I have some understanding of volunteer activities. As an active person, I won't just list opportunities; I will help students find positions that match their interests and schedules.
I'm not just "running for a role", but I'm committed to making volunteer service serve you. I have organizational experience and a passion to ensure that volunteer service suits you. I'll listen to what you want and take action. Whether you are just starting out as a volunteer and don't know where to begin, or an experienced volunteer looking for greater challenges, I will do my best to help you. Besides, I will ensure that volunteer activities are interesting, can improve myself and give back to society. Choose me and let's make volunteer service something everyone looks forward to together.
My priorities are enhancing personal growth and boosting student participation. I'll diversify opportunities with quick, flexible tasks and longer - term projects . This variety helps us all explore new skills while fitting busy schedules.
I'll also organize regular sharing sessions, which can make volunteering more engaging but also foster mutual learning and self - development.
Finally, I want to establish a feedback system to approach ensures everyone feels valued, encouraging sustained participation and continuous growth for all involved.
As the founder of the Spotty Rabbit Club, I led the Chinese Bookworm Public Reading Project with a foundation, helping children at a rehabilitation center and mountain - area student who's underprivileged in Yunna. These experience taught me project management and teamwork. I learned to organize resources, communicate with partners, and ensure smooth project implementation.
These experiences have made me resilient, dedicated, and passionate about volunteering. I'm eager to use these qualities to inspire more students to join volunteer activities and create positive impacts together.
Students should vote for me because I bring hands-on volunteer experience: founding the Spotty Rabbit Club, leading a public reading project for special-needs kids, supporting a top-performing mountain student they start thier new life.
I have project management, teamwork, and empathy—skills to make volunteering accessible and meaningful. I’ll create flexible opportunities, build a supportive community, and help everyone grow through service.
As a Volunteering Rep, I aim to increase student engagement with volunteering opportunities and promote the benefits of volunteering for both individuals and the wider community. Volunteering provides opportunities for personal growth, motivation, and development, while also benefiting the wider community, such as promoting a more supportive culture and increasing impact through the relationships formed within volunteering schemes and charity work.
With two years of experience, I am enthusiastic about promoting volunteering opportunities that give back to the community. Since 2023, I have worked with Girlguiding, where I gained my Unit Leader qualification and managed a Brownie unit for 7-to 10-year-olds. I have organised fundraising events, with proceeds reinvested in the unit to enhance the experiences of young members, such as residentials. I have also been volunteering for a local Autism & ADHD Parent Support Group, where I participate in fundraising events for community projects that support families with neurodivergent children.
I will bring my two years of volunteering experience to the table to actively promote the opportunities available for students to get involved in their local area. My experiences through active engagement in two charities have led me to feel confident that I will be able to work collaboratively with the wider Activities Zone team at UCL to enhance student activities and help other students to appreciate the rewarding nature of being part of a supportive, friendly community, forming new friendships.
My main goal would be to encourage a greater involvement in volunteering from the UCL students. From speaking to people, it is very clear to me that the students have a real desire to help out and work with local charities. However, they are often too shy to start or even just unaware of how simple it is to begin their journey. By engaging the student body here at UCL, I believe that any stigma around volunteering will fall, the university will enjoy fantastic relations with the surrounding areas and, most significantly, the causes we wish to volunteer for will receive greater support.
Volunteering has played a crucial part in my upbringing and is a tenet I could never lose hold of. From volunteering for the Bloomsbury Football foundation since 14 I have great experience of the different levels of volunteering and how the responsibilities and duties differ. Over that period, I have had the privilege of seeing this wonderful charity blossom into the incredible organisation it is today which has given me great insight into the details of how to scale a charity and the necessary steps to increase the reach whilst never losing its founding essence.
I have much experience in volunteering which has only increased my hunger to further participate and work hard for those in need. This experience has given me the necessary skill set (of compassion, hard work, leadership, and knowledge) to work in the role which I would undertake with great energy and passion. Whether volunteering for local food banks or writing letters to children in Burkina Faso, I believe that volunteering can take so many different forms each of which are as integral and admirable as the other and I would love to support UCL students in any of these forms.
