Election post

Status
Elected
What do you hope to achieve in the role if you are elected?

If I am elected as a volunteer representative, my main goal is to enable every student to participate in the activities more meaningfully. First of all, I will promote UCL's "Volunteer Center" and call on students to actively participate in volunteer activities. Secondly, I will help students find suitable volunteer services based on their different interests and time arrangements. Finally, I hope every student can feel that volunteer service is not merely "something to do", but a fulfilling growth - whether you can spare an hour each week or the entire afternoon.

What will you bring to this role (e.g. experience, skills or qualities)?

I have some experience. I have been a volunteer teacher in primary schools offline for two years and have also recorded micro-lessons for students in Zimbabwe. All of these have taught me how to provide corresponding support to different people. I was also the minister of the Publicity Department in high school, which honed my organizational skills. I have also participated in the volunteer services of UCL, so I have some understanding of volunteer activities. As an active person, I won't just list opportunities; I will help students find positions that match their interests and schedules.

Please summarise why students should vote for you.

I'm not just "running for a role", but I'm committed to making volunteer service serve you. I have organizational experience and a passion to ensure that volunteer service suits you. I'll listen to what you want and take action. Whether you are just starting out as a volunteer and don't know where to begin, or an experienced volunteer looking for greater challenges, I will do my best to help you. Besides, I will ensure that volunteer activities are interesting, can improve myself and give back to society. Choose me and let's make volunteer service something everyone looks forward to together.
