Join UCL AMSA for an afternoon dedicated to learning and experiencing the recitation of the Holy Qur’an in a welcoming and relaxed café-style setting running across the entire afternoon in the newly refurbished Yellow Room. We are contributing to the efforts of all student societies for International week and wish to invite all students and friends to join us  for a unique and fun time.

This event offers students of all backgrounds and abilities the opportunity to learn, improve, or simply listen to Qur’anic recitation. After a short introduction to Surah Al-Fatiha and its significance, attendees will be invited to join small group stations tailored to different levels:

• Beginner-friendly guidance for those new to Arabic pronunciation
• Intermediate and advanced recitation workshops
• Open Q&A and discussion in a supportive environment

Whether you are looking to strengthen your recitation skills, learn to pronounce your first words in Arabic, or gain insight into Islamic tradition, this event is open to everyone.

Light refreshments and drinks will be provided throughout the session. Goodie bags will be available for those observing the fast during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

We welcome students from all faculties, faith backgrounds, and levels of familiarity!

Wheelchair accessible
Yes

It is taking place in the newly refurbished cloisters' Yellow Room attached to Portico on Main Campus. To our knowledge this is one of the most accessible points in the university given its shared value to all students.

Family friendly
Yes

Should family also attend, they will be able to experience our event the same as students. Our aim is to spread and engage our message "Love for All Hatred for None". We embody this wholly when it comes to experiences like this, which may not be as accessible or frequently available to the general public.
