UCL Shakespeare Company, in collaboration with their upcoming Bloomsbury Theatre production of 'Macbeth', are offering an Understanding Shakespeare Workshop. Led by experienced actor and director Elly Beacon, the workshop will focus on breaking down Shakespeare’s text and ways to interpret it as an actor.

Elly recently graduated from UCL’s English department, having directed Shakespeare Company’s previous Blooms show, ‘Richard II’. She also served as the assistant director for ‘Rope’ (winner of Best Studio Production 2025), performed in the Bloomsbury Studio. As an actor, Elly has Siobhan in ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’, Sarah Hollis in ‘The Welkin’ and Ursula in ‘Much Ado About Nothing’. She was also a member of the UCL Young Company, having been in the cast of their premiere show ‘What We Leave Behind’.
